Just your typical Friday night in NYC…

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
This year, in light of COVID, we spent Thanksgiving in home which would make it officially the 2nd time we’ve hosted Thanksgiving. When we do Thanksgiving as a family, we always do a non-traditional (pfft. we make our OWN traditions) fusion themed dinner pulling sources from our favorite foods from around the World, which include: Spanish (Caribbean & Mexican), Asian (Japanese and Chinese), Southern and Italian. This years theme? Spanish and Asian.
I went all out you guys.
Just take a look at some of these recipes I recreated for Thanksgiving feast<3

I was so proud of myself! I paced myself, took my time, put on some music and went in the kitchen with a strategy because I REFUSED to spend the day stressed out and anxious. Delilah gave me the space that I needed and voila! A Thanksgiving feast.
We started off with a toast:
Had a quick Zoom sesh with family. And spent the rest of our night enjoying each other’s company. It was a night to remember. I hope your Thanksgiving brought you joy, love and at the very least lots of good food.
Until our next adventure…

What a STRANGE structure. I’m sure someone was sacrificed here

Today is my birthday. I wasn’t even planning to come out of hiding today. You see, this year has been (mentally) tough and I’ve been feeling really down lately. Plus, I wasn’t in the mood to turn on my phone just to be disappointed that people forgot…again. All these things considered, I wasn’t feeling very celebratory which is categorically unlike me. I’m usually spirited, ecstatic, and exuberant; I’m life’s cheerleader: there isn’t a birthday that’s passed that hasn’t been celebrated.
BUT
I just wasn’t feeling it this year.
But Bae convinced me ^_^ . He convinced me that I was loved, cared for and appreciated. He convinced me that I mattered ❤ And, man I swear, it’s as if he spoke it into existence because…this birthday was HEAVY on the love. I must’ve received a text from everyone. People I hadn’t spoken to in years. It felt nice! To feel loved, ya know? And BAE!? What?! Your boy made sure I wanted for NOTHING. He took care of house and home, all of the meals and even ordered me these gourmet cupcakes:

All in all, it was a great birthday!
Oh, and shoutout to Anime Con for hosting such an awesome Cyber event today! It, LITERALLY, made my entire day. I know what it really was: you knew I didn’t have anything to do today so you were like: “hmm, how can we cheer up Kai” and someone went: “I KNOW! LETS HAVE ANIME CON ONLINE TODAY SO SHE CAN WATCH IT AND GEEK OUT WITH HER FAMILY AND CHEER UP FROM THE COMFORTS OF HER OWN HOME!” Pfft. You’re the best, Anime Con NYC!
